Ignacio is a lawyer and he leads the Litigation and Compliance Department at Grant Thornton's office in Barcelona. 

His professional practice as a lawyer is focused on Commercial and Business Law. Ignacio has an extensive experience advising in international contracts, corporate issues and commercial disputes between Spanish and international companies. He has represented many relevant companies before Spanish courts in all their stages as well as before the most relevant arbitration courts. As a business lawyer, negotiator and dispute resolution practitioner, Ignacio has a wide perspective on the legal issues in which companies are involved. He has also developed a dispute management program and has a wide expertise in designing corporate compliance programs in organizations. 

Ignacio is also founding partner and neutral at NEUTRALES, a dispute resolution company affiliated with JAMS International the world's largest and most experienced provider of mediation services. NEUTRALES offers mediation suitable for commercial disputes by introducing highly qualified mediators and implementing a methodology for its success. NEUTRALES is devoted to change the paradigm of conflict resolution, accompanying companies in their search of efficient, realistic and economically advantageous solutions to their commercial disputes.

Beyond his professional practice as a lawyer, Ignacio has a Ph.D. in ADR by the University of Barcelona, and he is an active researcher on Mediation and Dispute Management. 

Ignacio is Lecturer of Negotiation, Mediation & Arbitration at the Univeristat Abat Oliva-CEU in Barcelona and he has also held many conferences as a speaker in different forums. He is also academic collaborator at ESADE Law School.

Ignacio has recently been awarded with the Weinstein International Fellowship by JAMS Foundation, the principal ADR provider in the U.S., for a visitig research conducted at Stanford Law School.
